The operation
Fresh and frozen food production
Managing substantial batches of frozen poultry created a direct understanding of product sensitivity, timing and distribution pressure.
About KCCL
Kennie-O Cold Chain Logistics began after a costly lesson: without dependable temperature-controlled transport, businesses can lose products, income and customer trust.
Our story
Before KCCL, our team operated a broiler production and processing business, supplying more than five tonnes of frozen chicken per batch to major Nigerian chain stores.
In 2013, poor cold-chain and logistics support contributed to a major loss and the eventual collapse of the business. The experience showed how much producers and distributors depend on reliable temperature-controlled transport.
KCCL grew from that lesson. The company now helps businesses protect perishable products through connected transport, storage, handling and infrastructure services.
The operation
Managing substantial batches of frozen poultry created a direct understanding of product sensitivity, timing and distribution pressure.
The turning point
The 2013 loss revealed the commercial consequences of unreliable temperature-controlled logistics.
The response
Experience and market research became the foundation for a business focused on end-to-end cold-chain support.
What guides us
KCCL works to make the movement and handling of perishable products more dependable, from fresh food and farm produce to pharmaceuticals and life-science products.
Our mission
We bring transport, storage, equipment, handling and infrastructure services together around the needs of each consignment.
Our vision
Our long-term direction is rooted in reducing avoidable losses and helping temperature-sensitive products retain their quality through the supply chain.
Our values
Our values guide how we work, learn and build relationships across the cold-chain industry.
We approach logistics and professional training with discipline, care and respect for the standards our clients depend on.
Cold chains are connected systems. We value cooperation, shared responsibility and strong working relationships.
We pursue better outcomes through continuous learning, operational focus and a commitment to improving how we work.
We seek to uphold high professional standards in our operations, education and institutional governance.
Why the work matters
KCCL’s founding goal was shaped by the scale of food loss in Nigeria and its consequences for businesses, nutrition and livelihoods. Protecting product quality is therefore more than a logistics task—it is part of building a more resilient supply chain.
