Cold-chain service starts with clear information.

About KCCL

KCCL was built from first-hand experience.

Kennie-O Cold Chain Logistics began after a costly lesson: without dependable temperature-controlled transport, businesses can lose products, income and customer trust.

Our story

A business loss led to a better cold-chain service.

Before KCCL, our team operated a broiler production and processing business, supplying more than five tonnes of frozen chicken per batch to major Nigerian chain stores.

In 2013, poor cold-chain and logistics support contributed to a major loss and the eventual collapse of the business. The experience showed how much producers and distributors depend on reliable temperature-controlled transport.

KCCL grew from that lesson. The company now helps businesses protect perishable products through connected transport, storage, handling and infrastructure services.

45% of Nigeria’s fruit and vegetable production was estimated to be lost annually. Historical context cited by KCCL from FAO/FIIRO, 2013. This figure is retained as part of the company’s founding rationale and is not presented as a current estimate.

Why the work matters

Protecting more value after harvest.

KCCL’s founding goal was shaped by the scale of food loss in Nigeria and its consequences for businesses, nutrition and livelihoods. Protecting product quality is therefore more than a logistics task—it is part of building a more resilient supply chain.
